Thermal oil heating drum asphalt melter for road construction
The DLT-series asphalt melter developed by our company takes thermal oil as heating medium, and the equipment heats the coil to finish the heating, melting and dumping process. And the equipment guarantees the heating quality and has the features of high heating efficiency, high dumping speed, easy operation, labor saving, continuous production, reducing waste and pollution of asphalt. The equipment has beautiful appearance, reasonable and compact arrangement, stable and reliable performance, and is suitable for the production of asphalt barrel removal under various working conditions.
Bitumen drum melter components
The equipment mainly consists of melting tank, lifting system, tipping devices, asphalt drum plate, dripping asphalt collect system, hydraulic propulsion system, thermal oil heating system, bitumen pump, pipe system, and electric control system.
Working principle
The equipment adopts automatic spring door sealed box structure. The drum is lifted by electrical hoisting. The hydraulic propeller pushes drum plate into the melter, and using the hot thermal oil from external boiler as the heating source.
Continuous production one full drum in and one empty drum out from the other end.
Main features

2. The equipment mainly consists of melting tank, lifting system, tipping devices, asphalt drum plate, dripping asphalt collect system, hydraulic propulsion system, thermal oil heating system, bitumen pump, pipe system, and electric control system.
3. Lifting system adopts cantilever design, lift the drum by hoist, move the drum transversely and put it on the tipping device with opening up. After turnover, the drum falls into the drum plate with opening down, then push the drum to the dumping room by hydraulic pusher, meanwhile one empty drum pushed out from the outlet. This equipment is a continuous drum asphalt removal equipment. It can repeat the above operation continuously according to a certain frequency.
4. The melting tank is divided into two chambers. The upper one is asphalt dumping chamber equipped with heating coil, and the heating coil exchanges the heat with drum in radiation to melt the bitumen. The lower chamber equipped with heating coil in the bottom continues to heat the bitumen to reach the pump temperature, then the bitumen can be pumped into storage tank after the bitumen reaches the operation temperature and has no moisture. The bitumen tube system is equipped with filter device to eliminate the slag automatically.
5. Spring doors are installed at the inlet and outlet of the melter. The door is pushed open by the asphalt drum. The spring door could be closed automatically and quickly after asphalt drum was gone through, which not only facilitates the entry and exit of the asphalt drum, but also minimizes the heat loss.
6. The above mentioned processes are all controlled by electrical control cabinet with necessary monitoring instrument and safety control device.
