The YDL-40F Diesel Burner Double Heating Square Bitumen Storage Tank is engineered for road construction projects that require reliable base bitumen storage and controlled heating before downstream use. Unlike a simple storage tank, this model integrates diesel burner heating, thermal-oil circulation, insulated bitumen pumping, internal circulation, external supply and pipeline heat tracing into one square tank system.
During operation, the diesel burner heats the built-in combustion chamber and flue tube structure, while the thermal oil system circulates heat through the tank and connected heat-tracing lines. This double heating matrix allows the tank to heat bitumen through direct flue heat transfer and indirect thermal-oil heating at the same time. The bitumen pump can be used for unloading, internal circulation and external supply, helping reduce cold zones and improve temperature uniformity inside the tank.
The YDL-40F uses a 5mm steel plate tank body, 8mm end plate, 12mm combustion chamber, Φ159 seamless steel heating tubes, 50mm rock wool insulation and 0.5mm corrugated color steel outer cladding. With automatic temperature control and Schneider electrical components, the tank is designed for practical asphalt plant operation, bitumen processing support and export project delivery. The complete unit can be loaded into one 40HQ container, making it suitable for overseas road construction equipment projects.

Double Heating Matrix for Faster Bitumen Temperature Recovery
The YDL-40F combines diesel direct heating and thermal oil indirect heating. The diesel burner transfers heat through the combustion chamber and flue tubes, while thermal oil circulation supports indirect heat transfer and pipeline heat tracing. This dual heating layout is designed to improve temperature recovery after bitumen unloading and keep the stored bitumen in a pumpable condition.
Integrated Circulation to Reduce Cold Zones
The insulated 3QGB80×2-36 bitumen pump is not only used for external supply. It can also support unloading and internal circulation. Internal circulation helps reduce temperature stratification inside the tank and keeps bitumen closer to a uniform working state before it is supplied to asphalt mixing plants or bitumen processing equipment.
Thermal-Oil Heat Tracing for Pump and Pipeline Protection
Bitumen pipelines are prone to blockage when temperature drops below the required pumping range. The YDL-40F includes DN25 thermal oil heat-tracing support for the bitumen pump and pipeline. This allows hot thermal oil to preheat key transfer sections and reduce the risk of cold-start blockage during site operation.
Heavy-Duty Tank Structure for Long-Term Site Operation
The tank body uses 5mm steel plate, the end plate uses 8mm steel plate, and the combustion chamber uses a 12mm structure with a 70mm external thermal-oil jacket. Together with Φ159 seamless steel heating tubes, 50mm rock wool insulation and 0.5mm corrugated outer cladding, the tank is built for heavy road construction and asphalt plant working conditions.
Automatic Temperature Control with Burner Interlock Logic
The system uses automatic temperature controllers for bitumen and thermal oil. The burner can start and stop according to the set temperature limits, and the thermal oil circulation pump should be started before burner heating. This interlock logic helps protect the heating system and supports safer temperature management during daily operation.
